Matt Oswalt
Matthew "Matt" Oswalt (born September 25, 1970) is an American writer, actor, and comedian. He is the younger brother of comedian Patton Oswalt.
Early life and education
Oswalt was born in Norfolk, Virginia on September 25, 1970, the son of Carla Oswalt (née Runfola), and Larry J. Oswalt, who was a United States Marine Corps officer.
Matt Oswalt graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1995.
Career
Oswalt's first television credit was as a writer for the Nickelodeon sketch comedy show All That,
He was a staff writer on Mystery Science Theater 3000
Additionally, he is the creator of the surrealist comedy web-series Puddin, which featured regular appearances by brother Patton Oswalt, comedian and actor Robin Williams, musician Weird Al Yankovic, actor David Koechner, comedian Paul Provenza, actor Colin Hanks, entertainer Dana Gould, writer Jake Fogelnest, public figure Steven Weber, and Eddie Pepitone.
Oswalt is a prolific user of Twitter. At the 2016 Grammy Awards he live-tweeted during the program
He convinced actor Mark Hamill via Twitter to recite actual tweets written by Trump in the sinister voice of the Joker character from the Batman franchise.
Other work
Oswalt has developed content for Jash, at one point working with Angela Kinsey of The Office, as well as Milana Vayntrub, Bobcat Goldthwait, and Eddie Pepitone.
In 2014, his brother Patton Oswalt said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, that he had once received a wooden plaque featuring carvings of all of his pre-fame occupations as an unwelcome and envious gift from his younger brother.
