Mathilda Paradeiser
Mathilda Emma Paradeiser (born September 5, 1995) is a 17 year old Swedish actress. She played the lead role in the 2011 award winning Swedish movie Apflickorna.
Mathilda started acting when she was 13 years and has since continued With It. She had the lead role in the 2011 Swedish movie Apflickora, at the age of fifteen. She has since had roles in the forthcoming movie Run (2012). In July 2012 Mathilda represented Sweden at World Championships of Performing Arts 2012 reaching the Semi-Finals. She will attend acting school in Sweden from 2012–2014 and also in New York for the summer of 2013.
Personal life
Paradeiser was born in Göteborg Sweden. Demonstrating a passion for acting at an early age she began her young acting career at the young age of 13. It was two year later that she caught the eye of Writer/Director Lisa Aschan and played the lead role of Emma in the Award winning Apflickorna.
Career
Paradeiser's breakthorugh role was in the 2011 drama Apflickorna, where she played the lead role Emma, alongside Linda Molin and Isabella Lindqvist. The film focuses on psychological power struggles between two teenage girls engaged in equestrian vaulting.
In July 2012 Mathilda reached the Semi Finals of the World Championships of The Performing Arts
Apflickorna Release
The film premiered on 31 January 2011 at the Gothenburg Film Festival. Several festival selections followed, including Berlin where it screened in the section Generation 14Plus, Tribeca and Karlovy Vary. The earliest regular release was in France, where ASC Distribution launched the film on 3 August 2011. The Swedish release was set to 2 September 2011 through TriArt Film.
Dancing career
Paradeiser is also an acclaimed dancer having studied from the age of 5.
