Masthishka Maranam
Masthishka Maranam is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language cyberpunk science fiction thriller film written, directed, and edited by Krishand. The film features an ensemble cast led by Rajisha Vijayan, Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju, Vishnu Agasthya, and Divya Prabha.Set in a futuristic version of Kochi in the year 2046, the film is produced by Vinayaka Ajith under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on 27 February 2026.
Plot
The film is an experimental sci-fi that explores the "eyeball economy" and the voyeuristic nature of modern digital consumption. The narrative centers on a protagonist who gains access to another person's memories, specifically looking at how female stardom is manufactured and packaged as a commodity. According to Director Krishand, The Title (which translates to "Brain Death") serves as a metaphor for the hyperactivity and constant stimulation of the social media age, which he describes as "living without reflecting."

Production
The film was announced with a first-look poster featuring cyberpunk aesthetics, including futuristic goggles and virtual reality headsets. It marks the latest collaboration for Krishand following his critically acclaimed works Avasavyuham (2022) and Purusha Pretham (2023).
Filming was completed across various locations in Kerala, with the director using advanced visual effects to create the 2046 Kochi setting. The music and background score are composed by Varkey, with cinematography by Prayag Mukundan.
