Maryfran Johnson

Maryfran Johnson, nicknamed "Fran," is currently VP & Editorial Director, CIO Decisions Media Group, TechTarget.

Prior to joining TechTarget, she served as Editor in Chief of Computerworld, where she held a variety of reporting, editing and managerial positions for 15 years. Under her direction, Computerworld's editorial team earned more than 100 journalism awards, including "Magazine of the Year" from the American Society of Business Publication Editors, as well as a Jesse H. Neal Award for best news coverage in 2003. Johnson also led the editorial team in launching the Premier 100 IT Leaders Awards Program and Conference in 1999.

Johnson holds a master's degree in journalism from The Ohio State University, where she was a Kiplinger Public Affairs Reporting Program Fellow in 1987-88. She earned her BA in Journalism from the University of Florida, which in 2002 honored her as one of six "Alumni of Distinction" for the College of Journalism and Communications.
