Markku Koppinen

Markku Koppinen is COO of dunnhumby.

He started his career at Karl Fazer as an accounting manager before moving to Andersen Consulting (Accenture) where he worked for eleven years, and was based in Helsinki before transferring to London in 1995. In Andersen Consulting he worked in different consulting delivery and management roles including being responsible for business and financial planning across 11 European countries as well as establishing and driving the global operations of the Consulting Competency organisation

After leaving Andersen Consulting, he worked as a managing director of efinanceworks, an e-finance venture capital fund, and later as COO of mPower Europe, a re-enabled investment advisory start-up. Following that, Koppinen worked with EDS in several operational management roles including COO for their Solutions Consulting practice in Continental Europe and COO for their Global Financial Services Industry Practice.

From EDS Koppinen moved to ThoughtWorks a global IT consulting company, where we was the global COO responsible for the operational performance of the 6 country practices around the world.

Koppinen moved to dunnhumby in early 2007.
