Mariya Georgieva
Mariya Lazarova Georgieva (born May 12, 1977) is a founder, director and company secretary of Berkeley Square Trading Limited, which trades as Bulgarian Dreams. She has a Masters degree in Economics from City University, London and has been married to Robert Jenkin since 2002.
As co-founder of Bulgarian Dreams, and wife of Robert Jenkin, Georgieva has been the focus of some publicity in the UK due to a number of customer complaints against the company, and subsequent attention from consumer and owners groups. Whilst it concentrated mainly on Jenkin, an investigation by BBC Watchdog included the following reference to Georgieva in its 16 February 2009 report update:
[Jenkin has] told customers that the problems aren't anything to do with him and blames the developers. But he doesn't mention the fact that both he and his wife Mariya Georgieva have had particularly close links with some of those development companies. Especially one called Interlink BG. Robert used to be one of its owners and wife Mariya is still listed as a company director.
She is also associated with Bolgarskie Mechty and Go Visit Bulgaria.
