Marius Nacht
Marius Nacht (Hebrew: מאריוס נכט) is an Israeli programmer and entrepreneur. He is a founder, director and Senior Vice President of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd.
Nacht earned a B.Sc. cum laude in physics and mathematics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1983, and an M.Sc.in electrical engineering and communication systems from Tel-Aviv University in 1987.
Nacht has served as a director of Check Point since its inception in 1993. In 1999, he was appointed Senior Vice President. Since 2001, he has been Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Before founding Check Point, Nacht spent nine years in the Israeli Air Force. He was a software development manager at Optrotech and co-founded the Graphic Arts Division.
In 1993, together with Gil Shwed, he invented and patented Stateful Inspection, now a de facto standard technology. He was also one of the developers of FireWall-1, the company's software solution.
