Margaret Lillmars , also known as Maggie Lillmars is a published author of poems and published writer for teen magazines. She resides in Chicago, but is originally from Kirkwood, Missouri.
Biography
She was born in Guatelmala City, Guatemala. Maggie grew up in an orphanage until the age of 8 months old. She was adopted by a St. Louis couple and grew up in St. Louis for the first 18 years of her life. She began her wiritngs around the age of 7, where she was discovered by teachers who believed her writings to be exceptional for her age group. She was first published in elementary school and soon began writing more poems. At a such a young age, people were surprised by the talent of this young, foreign looking girl.
She has two younger sisters, Anna and Elizabeth. Anna who is of close age is often confused for her twin, although they have no resemblance. Her sisters have been supportive in her publishing endeavors and are often mentioned in the writings.
She attended three elementary schools within St. Louis. She attended Nipher Middle School and Kirkwood High School. She graduated in 2004 from KHS and went on to DePaul University for college and graduated in 2008. She continues to write, but has not been published since high school.
