Marco Allegri

Marco Allegri graduated at the School of Independent Italian Cinema as Film Director after specializing in production at the school "Professione cinema" of Rome. After completing his studies, he begins his career as a freelance cameraman working in different sectors. He starts working in the film industry cooperating with Salvatore Vitiello with which he produces some short movies and a feature movie titled "Dov’è Sisifo?" distributed by Cecchi Gori Group. In the movie "Tea with Mussolini" by F. Zeffirelli and "Hannibal" by R. Scott, Allegri works as an assistant on the set. His career continues as a freelance cameraman in television working as collaborator for Sky, Mediaset, Rai, La7. In 2005 and 2006 he works in Cinecittà for important reality shows as "The Big Brother" and "Una1mous." At the same time, Allegri makes two documentaries in India and Polynesia with InfinityBlue, broadcast subsequently in a Rai TV programme. With Quattroruote TV Allegri begins an important collaboration that leads him to work for the last 3 editions of the Italian Motor Show. He works further with them carrying out two journalistic services in Las Vegas as part of Ces, global electronics trade fair, and for the world premiere of the new Lamborghini model. He moves to London to broaden his career and there gets close to the music world. On behalf of Westway TV he follows the tour of London CarbonSilicon, current band of guitarist Mick Jones from the Clash. During these live events, Allegri has the opportunity to shoot various jam session with Manic Street Preachers and Alabama3. For kookie Film he accomplishes the shooting of a live video of Mitsubishis, emerging band in London’s underground scene. He works as steadycam operator for the latest Shara Nelson video (Massive Attack) directed by Riccardo Sai. In Italy then he shoots the singles "Randagi" by Malfunk and "Mettiamo a Fuoco" by Jaka, both directed by Alessio Della Valle. During his period in London, Allegri has the opportunity to work as d.o.p. and operator for the independent film "The city wants justice" directed by Nicolas Polazzo. An american music manager Lou Ricca then gets him involved with the Eurorock project, an on road music festival, for which Allegri will document the event: on board a sailing boat together with five musicians, crossing the ocean while documeting the entire trip that is being transmitted on the Internet. Unfortunately the trip is interrupted due to a violent storm that damages the boat, forcing the crew to a miraculous return to Europe. The project Eurorock continues on land, in Florida where the live shooting of the concerts continues. For Swiss Chris, John Legend’s drummer, he shoots a live act that later becomes the official video. In Spain Allegri shoots "Refuge" and "Ball and Chain", two music videos for Kriegergottes, the band created by the Eurorock project. "Refuge" has received one entry for the 2009 Grammy Awards. In China he directs the video "Eyes Mix" created from the collaboration with the German rapper Dark Dust and guitarist Detlef Kowaleski. His last work "Whatever is wrong with you" is the video that won the contest held by Marillion to promote their latest single.
