Marcella Boccia
Marcella Boccia (Baia e Latina, Italy, 1974) is an Italian poet, writer and rapper.
Biography
She published two poetry books and a story.
Marcella Boccia wrote many songs and many of her poetries have become songs.
She has collaborated with Alessandro Sommella, musicist of Planet Funk, writing songs for him.
Has received from the International Association Artists (A.I.A.) the “Poet Top 2004” Prize.
She is a pacifist writer. She lives between Italy and India and, like Gandhi, she makes hunger strikes in order to protest against the world's injustices. "Congo" is a song of denunciation of the civil war in Africa.
For her pacifist written, she has received the "Mandir of Peace Prize" (2005).
Her Indian name is Heena Suman.
Phuntsog Nyidron
In 2007 Marcella Boccia has maked in London the video of "Roof of the world" with the director Roy Roberts. The song tells the history of Phuntsog Nyidron, the tibetan nun imprisoned and tortured from the Chinese in the jail of Drapchi. Phuntsog Nyidron is in the video.
