Marathwada Mitra Mandal Trust
The trust Marathwada Mitra Mandal, Pune was established in 1967 by Hon. Late Shri. Shankarraoji Chavan, former Home Minister of the Government of India, as the Founder President. The trust began with the objective of providing hostel and related accommodation in Pune for students. It was founded through the inspiration of socially and educationally committed personalities with the motto “येथे बहुतांचे हित” (Welfare of Masses). The guiding principles of the trust include mass education, co-education, and dedication to the overall development of the region. Today, the trust administers educational campuses at Deccan Gymkhana, Karvenagar, Lohgaon, and Kalewadi in and around Pune.

Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Institute of Technology (commonly abbreviated as MMIT) is a private engineering college located in Lohgaon, Pune, Maharashtra, India. It was established in 2008 and is run under the trust of Marathwada Mitra Mandal. The institute is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering disciplines.
History
Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Institute of Technology was established in 2008 under the aegis of the Marathwada Mitra Mandal trust with the objective of providing quality engineering education in Pune and contributing to the technical workforce of the region. Since its inception, the institute has grown by offering engineering programmes and fostering industry-ready skills among students.
Campus and Location
The institute’s campus is located in Lohgaon, on the northeast edge of Pune city in the state of Maharashtra. The main campus includes academic blocks, laboratories, libraries, sports facilities, and student amenities. It is situated approximately 11 kilometres from Pune Railway Station and Pune International Airport, serving students from Pune and surrounding regions.

Academics
MMIT offers various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) engineering programmes.
