Manny Cohen

Manny(Emmanuel)Cohen is the chairman of the Raymond Morris group which is a leading supplier of UK and international information company registrations, trademarks and patents as well as trusts and foundations used in wealth management solutions.

Life and Career

Manny Cohen has been in the Business Information & Registrations Business for over 35 years. He started working for himself in business aged 19, in 1977 as a researcher of Company and Government records and had a 2nd business as a photographer. Mainly Self Taught in business, he part qualified in accounting and finance by starting the ACCA (certified accounts) and (ICSA) chartered secretary courses. However, over the years, having been on numerous courses in management, accounting and finance, Manny is now a highly respected lecturer at conferences around Europe talking on subjects as diverse as ‘The 2006 Companies Act’ to ‘the European third directive on money laundering’. He is now classed as an expert on business information, international corporations and registrations, trusts, foundations, tax, brand protection and registration and even anti-money laundering rules and compliance, all subjects that he speaks on. He is currently the chairman of the Raymond Morris Group and its subsidiary companies. The Group owns and operates the company information and anti-money laundering database aRMadillo, the first commercial company database on the web, which Mr Cohen was instrumental in conceiving and launching. It now covers 170 million companies in 220 countries. The Group is a major supplier of UK and International company registrations as well as trusts and foundations used in Wealth Management solutions. It is also the principal representative in Europe of the major international law firm Mossack Fonseca & Co. Mr Cohen is also a long standing director of ACRA, the Association of Company Registration Agents, and the main industry body of the company registration industry. In this role he has often participated in talks with government ministers & senior civil servants.c He is a former Royal Air Force reserve officer (Flight Lieutenant), where he was a Gliding instructor, mountaineering and shooting instructor and range officer, he was also the officer commanding 2 different Air Cadet units during his time in the RAFVR(T). He is a Freeman of the City of London and a member of the Woolman’s Livery. Mr Cohen is a member of the Company Secretarial Professional Practice Group, which is also based in the City of London. His other current positions include Chairman of Arlesey Town Football Club, Chairman of LJV Sports Management,Director of The British Bobsleigh Association (currently, he is Britain’s No1 amateur bobsleigh driver) and recently appointed as accredited strategy business partner for the Army Winter Sports Association with the intention of getting sponsorship funding for young men and women in our armed services. He is also a member of the Royal Television Society.
