Lyst

Lyst is a social E-commerce platform launched in 2010. The site can be used by unregistered users, who can use the site as a search engine to find fashion items sold by multiple retailers. Once registered, people can follow other users, bloggers and designers creating personalized feed. Users can "lyst" their favorite items, saving them for future purchases and sharing them with their network. Automatic sales notifications are generated if a "lysted" item becomes discounted by a retailer.

Lyst was founded by Chris Morton, Devin Hunt and Sebastjan Trepca and was based on the concept of social curation right from the beginning. The idea behind social curation is that consumer guidance is to be created by the individual's social network and not by an editorial or advertising team. Lyst is backed by a range of all‐star investors including Accel Partners (Facebook, Groupon) and the investors behind Oscar de la Renta, Tory Burch and Smythson.
