Lundia (furniture)
The Lundia shelving system, also known as Lundia Original or Lundia Classic, is a modular wooden shelving system designed by Harald Lundqvist in 1946. Lundqvist patented the system in 40 different countries and licensed multiple companies around the world to produce and distribute the system. These resellers have developed their own ways of producing the system, giving companies the flexibility to choose their own materials, finished and colors.
The self-standing shelving system comprises wooden stands and wooden shelves and uses metal parts to distribute the load in order to allow the system to be flexible. It can be used together with doors and cabinet to aid in a variety of needs. The various resellers of the system have developer their own extensions like wine racks, drawers and bed frames to expand the usability of the system.
The approximate sizes of the system are as follows:
Widths: 50 cm, 80 cm, and 100 cm.
Depths: 22 cm, 30 cm, 40 cm, and 60 cm.
Heights: 48 cm, 68 cm, 73 cm, 88 cm, 108 cm, 128 cm, 148 cm, 168 cm, 188 cm, 208 cm, 228 cm, 248 cm, 268 cm, 288 cm.
