Luke Shore
Luke Thomas Shore (born 14 April 1997) is a Franco-British student activist. Credited with re-establishing the school student movement in the United Kingdom, he is now a Board member of the Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions.
Career
Shore was Director of the national school student advocacy group StudentVoice from 2012-2013. He founded the School Student Working Group to lobby the Department for Education to democratise British schools and ran a prominent national campaign calling for the establishment of a British school student union. In 2013, he was elected as a Board member of the Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions, the platform for cooperation between the national school student unions ACTIVE in general secondary and secondary vocational education in Europe.
Activism
In 2011, aged 14, Shore was involved in the international coordination of the 15-M Movement and Occupy movement and acted as a central coordinator of the 15 October 2011 global protests against economic inequality.
