Career

After starting as an actor and model in local commercials, print ad campaigns and short films, Luke Dodge began acting in microdramas, also referred to as verticals due to their mobile-first vertical video format. This new form of serialized storytelling has been compared to the soap operas of previous generations, acting as a launchpad for a new wave of actors.

On ReelShort and DreameShort, Dodge has appeared in multiple productions, including:

  • The Tutor Trap - his first starring role in a microdrama as the romantic male lead
  • Don't Miss Me When I'm Gone - one of his most popular projects, which has attracted more than 170 million views
  • Straight A Pregnancy – a ReelShort title with more than 50 million views
  • My Boss Is My Secret Sperm Donor - another ReelShort title with over 20 million views
  • Second Baby, Second Chance - his earliest microdrama in a supporting role on DreameShort

His work in microdramas has positioned him among the notable early actors in this emerging format with his own dedicated Fandom page on the ReelShort website, which is among the top microdrama publishers in the US having overtaken Netflix in the Entertainment app rankings.

He was cast in his first major motion picture for Netflix’s Bad Day starring Cameron Diaz and Ed O'Neill to be released in 2026.

On Nov 07, 2025, he was added to celebrity messaging site, Cameo as a Vertical Drama Star.
