Luiz Guilherme Pozzi

Luiz Guilherme Pozzi, born in 1979, is a Brazilian pianist who was taught in the Russian piano tradition. After four years of instruction, Pozzi was already celebrated as "enfant terrible" in his homeland Brazil, although he had received his first piano lessons only with 12 years. Luiz Guilherme Pozzi began his studies with the Russian pianist Olga Kiun and won more than 10 competitions in South America. His career continues by numerous appearances as a pianist both in concerts with orchestra and in solo recitals as well as in chamber music concerts. In the year 2003 Pozzi moved to Germany to continue his studies with the professor Felix Gottlieb. In 2005, he was admitted in the class of the late Russian pedagogue Alexander Satz, in Graz, Austria. Luiz Guilherme Pozzi is known for his interpretations, in which he places virtuosity in the service of the MusicAL perfection. His play is described as furious and high-emotional.
