Lovedale Foundation (LDF) is a fully integrated not-for-profit organization that delivers innovative module of community-based holistic programs in rural India since 2001. With a Vision, “To provide intellectual and moral leadership by igniting the minds of children and youth to realize their potential and make positive contributions to the society and to the nation at large,” LDF intends to redefine the existing system of charity activities into highly effective development initiatives through scalable and sustainable solutions. LDF has not only accomplished numerous milestones but is also creating an institution that is a unique model of a community movement that takes responsibility for its weak and vulnerable sections of the society.
'The Banyan,' is a school run by Lovedale Foundation, which thrives for international standards in promoting quality education and reserves its admission to only those people living Below Poverty Line-as measured in India, children with special needs, children from slums and orphans. Most of these children who come from absolutely deplored economic backgrounds, get their breakfast, lunch and evening snacks served at school-perhaps the only food they get for the day. Besides this, LDF also takes care of orphans, the elderly, women from vulnerable communities through its various development initiatives.
The league of extra ordinary who manage Lovedale are like minded professionals & Individuals, who have the passion for coming together for a social cause. They have several years of experience in Pedagogy, Medical, Academic, Hospitality and Non-Profit world. This enables the Foundation for a smooth operation as well as giving professional approach in every step. Ms. Jeny Verma is the Executive Director of LDF and she began her philanthropic mission in 2001 and it has been a remarkable effort to uplift the marginalized community. Her career background is from the Hospitality Industry and was an airliner with Jet. Currently she is also the Director for Travel and Volunteer,UK.
With the support from the Corporate world, Individuals (donors, volunteers and interns), Funding Organizations and Government, LDF and its team of professionals look forward to implement sustainable development models of community development with no compromise on quality for the best interest of the people and the communities they work with.
