Louise Keaton

Louise Keaton (October 30, 1906 – February 18, 1981) was an American actress appearing in the silent film industry. She is the sister of Buster Keaton and Harry Keaton.

Biography

Louise was born Louise Dresser Keaton in Maine, USA. Louise was the only daughter of silent film actors Joseph Francis Keaton V (better known as Joseph "Joe" Keaton) and his wife Myra Edith Cutler (better known as Myra Keaton). Louise was the third and last child of Joe and Myra Keaton. Louise's height was estimated at 5 feet and 4 inches. Because Louise was the same height and dress size as Buster's sister-in-law, Norma Talmadge, she was often used as Norma's stand-in both on camera and for costume fittings. Louise was also the aunt of Buster Keaton, Jr. (Buster Keaton's son) and sister-in-law of Eleanor Keaton (Buster's third wife).

Louise Keaton died on February the 18th, 1981, in Van Nuys, California at the age of 74. Her cause of death was stated as cancer. She was buried at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Sylmar of Los Angeles County.
