Louis P. Stanasolovich
Louis P. Stanasolovich (Born February 5, 1957) is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), founder, CEO, and President of Legend Financial Advisors, Inc.
Background
Louis P. Stanasolovich was born in Ambridge, Pennsylvania in Beaver County. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from The Pennsylvania State University and completed the 1999/2000 Entrepreneurial Management Program at Carnegie Mellon University Graduate School of Industrial Administration’s Donald H. Jones Center for Entrepreneurs.
After graduating from Penn State he worked as a cost analyst for a Fortune 500 company and in 1980 decided to take the Series 7 test for his own personal interests. He gained his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1984 and in 1994 he founded Legend Financial Advisors, Inc.

In 2009 and 2010, the company was named by Wealth Manager magazine as one of the country’s “Top Wealth Managers”.
Stanasolovich was named one of the "Movers & Shakers", the most influential people in the financial planning profession, by Financial Planning Magazine. He has also been named by Investment Advisor magazine as a member of The IA 25, a listing of the most influential people in finance, on three separate occasions. Stanasolovich has also been selected six times by Medical Economics magazine as one of “The 150 Best Financial Advisors for Doctors in America” and once by Dental Practice Report as one of "The Best Financial Advisors For Dentists In America." In 2007, Stanasolovich was named one of the "Top 100 Individual Financial Advisors” by Barron’s.
Stanasolovich is one of only four advisors nationwide to be selected twelve consecutive times by Worth magazine as one of “The Top 100 Wealth Advisors” in the country. He has also been named twice as one of “The 100 Great Financial Planners in America” by Mutual Funds magazine. Financial Planning magazine selected Stanasolovich as one of six individuals to receive the inaugural Influencer Awards for 2010. In 2009 and 2010, he was selected as a FIVE STAR Wealth Manager in the Pittsburgh area by Pittsburgh Magazine. He has also been named by Fortune Small Business magazine as one of “America’s Best Bosses”. He has also been selected by Smart Business Pittsburgh as a Pacesetter for three consecutive years, an award that recognizes outstanding and innovative business and community leaders who have made a significant impact on the region and its future. In 2009, he was selected as a nominee for the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” award for the Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia region.
Professional Memberships
Stanasolovich co-founded The Alpha Group in 1990, an association of 17 senior investment advisors, collectively managing more than $4.0 billion worth of client investments. He is also the editor of Risk-Controlled Investing, a subscription service that guides financial advisors on how to build investment portfolios with lower risk.
Stanasolovich is currently a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and a Registered Financial Advisor with the nation’s largest fee-only professional organization, The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
The International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP - a forerunner of the FPA) elected Mr. Stanasolovich to the National Board of Directors for four consecutive one-year terms (1988–1992). Stanasolovich is also a member of the editorial advisory board of the Fee-Only Client Newsletter.
