Lorea is a common given name meaning "The Flower" in Basque language. It is believed to have originated in Basque country in northern Spain; however it is sometimes confused with Lorena of Castilian origin. It is always to be pronunced Lor-ray-uh never the ingnorat Lor-ee-uh.
