Lone Star Connection

The Great Lonestar Connection or Lonestar Connection is a tag team unit consisting of Maniac Mike and Xander Wild that was brought together by legendary wrestler Killer Tim Brooks of Waxahachie, Texas. Competing primarily in Texas independent promotions, they are one of the main rivals of The New Youngbloods (Chris Romero & "Radical" Ricky Romero III).

These two wrestlers can be identified by two things, their love for Texas and the Jolly Roger images they wear. It's said that they not only take no prisoners but honor their mentor Brooks. Like most teams Maniac Mike and Xander Wild have a finishing tactic, theirs is known as the Spike Piledrive.

History

Brooks used two local talents (Maniac Mike and Xander Wild) in his promotion and pushed them on to win tag team titles in two promotions. LSC still holds titles and are still in control of the gold, with Austin based promotion, Texas Wrestling Federation. These gentlemen are two time Texas Tag Team Champions. As a unit, these wrestlers combine over a decade of experience in both single and tag team matches. Both members of the LSC attended the 2005 Cauliflower Alley Club Wrestling Seminar and were given honorable mention by Nick Bockwinkel at the bologna blowout that night.

In April 2004 a feud with the New Youngbloods that lasted until 2005 put Mike and Xander into notoriety as a team to be reckoned with. However, their feud still hasn't been resolved. The two stars still wrestle today in independent promotions around Texas.
