Locations of Shortland Street

The following is a list of the fictional locations that appear on the TVNZ soap opera Shortland Street.

• Apartment Block - The block of apartment that is built specifically for doctors at the apartment. Currently in residence is Maxwell Avia, Tania Jeffries and Maia Jeffries. Past residences include Kip Denton and Scotty.

• El Rancho - Originally appearing in 2004, El Rancho is a dirty flat that Maia Jeffries and Jay Copeland originally lived in. Famous tenants have included the likes of Joey Henderson. Gerald Tippett is currently living there.

• Ferndale - The location in which the show is set. Ferndale has been the setting since the start of the show and it is in Auckland.
• Ferndale High - The local high school where the kids on the show from 2005 onwards have attended.

• IV, the - The IV is the local bar. It is across the road from Shortland Street Hospital and is run by Kieran Mitchell. It has appeared on the show since 2007.

• Libby and Geralds old house - Libby and Gerald old house. Oliver Ritchie was a tennant and kept Libby hostage there.

• McKay household - The house where the McKays live. Previously the Potts household.

• Nurses flat, the - The only original set still in the show. Originally the flat where Sam and Steve lived, it is now the home of TK Samuels and Brooke Freeman.

• Potts residence - A modern house where Sarah and Daniel Potts are currently living.
• Pierce residence - Ethan Pierces house where he was murdered.

• Shortland Street Hospital - Short land Street hospital is the main location of the show. It is in central Ferndale.
• Sugar - The local cafe across the road from the hospital.
• Scott-Kumari household - Scotty and Shantis dream house. Scotty is currently living there along with Tracey.
