History

LMS was formed as a spin-off from the K.U. Leuven in 1980. It was one of the first companies to make a unified modal data acquisition and analysis system, combining a Unix workstation and analog-to-digital frontend.

Products

In addition to data acquisition systems, the company has expanded into simulation software. The software is used for modeling mechanical systems, with a special emphasis on the sound, vibration and durability attributes of the modeled systems.
