List of Techniques in Kinnikuman
The following is a list of the techniques in Yudetamago's manga series Kinnikuman. For other variations of certain techniques, check the character page for the user (ex: see Robin Mask for other versions of the Tower Bridge).
Striking techniques
- Used by Ashuraman. Ashuraman jumps onto the ropes and launches his body vertically at his opponent.
- Used by Hawkman.
- Used by Beauty Rhodes.
- A fury of karate chops used by Ramenman and Jean Steamboard.
- Used by Kinkotsuman. Kinkotsuman jumps towards his opponent and hits their forehead with his own. Appears in the PlayStation 2 game Kinnikuman Generations.
- Used by Kinnikuman.
- Neptuneman's trademark attack. A running clothesline fusing together Neptuneman's massive arms and his Magnet Power. While posing as The Samurai during the Royal Rumble for the Kinniku Throne he called it the .
- Used by Specialman. Specialman runs and tackles his opponent. Appears in the PlayStation 2 game Kinnikuman Generations.
- Used by Hawkman.
- Used by Robin Mask. Robin launches his body towards his opponent, attacking them with his horn.
- Used by Terryman. Terry jumps up and hits his opponent on the sides of their head with his knees and then kicks them in the face with both feet.
- Used by Terryman. Terry hits his opponent with a fury of punches.
- Used by Hawkman. Hawkman performs a dropkick, but the damage is increased with his talon-boots.
- Used by Mammothman. Mammothman impales his opponent with his trunk.
- Buffaloman's trademark attack. Buffaloman charges at his opponent and knocks them up into the air with his Long Horns, spinning the enemy as he falls back to the ground.
- Used by Brocken Jr.. Standing behind an opponent, Brocken does a handstand on their head. He then flips forward and kicks them in the face. He used this technique on SUPER Phoenix. This Technique is called "Black Hamburg Fog" in the dub.
- Mammothman's trademark blood-seeking tusks.
- Specialman's trademark technique. However, it is never used or seen.
- Used by Big the Budō. A dropkick powerful enough to cause rock to explode.
- Used by Skyman. Skyman flies into the air and divebombs his downed opponent.
- Used by Ramenman. A jump spinning kick where the shin of the leg hits the opponent's neck.
- Brocken Jr. and Jade's trademark attack. A hand chop that actually cuts the opponent's flesh. The second version is a powerful flaming punch. Brocken Jr. can combine both versions of Red Rain of Berlin and perform a tag version of this move with in games only. This Technique is called "Red Rain of Pain" in the dub.
- Used by Kinnikuman Great.
- Wolfman's trademark attack. He hand slaps his opponent in the face so much that their head swells up like a Rubik's Cube. This Technique is called "Cube Hand Twist" in the dub.
- Used by Kinnikuman Mariposa. Mariposa balances his body atop his opponent's head on his finger. He then headbutts his opponent repeatedly, embedding them into the mat.
- Mantarō Heel Drop
- Used by Kinniku Mantarou. Mantarou performs a powerful heel drop. This Technique is called "Kid Muscle Heel Drop" in the dub.
Throwing Techniques
- Used by God Von Erich. Von Erich performs an Iron Claw on his opponent and then throws them away.
- Used by Wolfman. Wolfman grabs his opponent by the head with both hands and throws them out of the ring. He first used it on Cubeman during the 21st Choujin Olympics.
- Used by Neptuneman. Neptuneman knocks his opponent into the ropes (usually with the Quarrel Bomber), and as the victim flies back at him (back facing him), he grabs him around the torso, forcing his back into the spikes on his vest. He then grabs the victim by the underside of the calfs, flips back, and slams him back first into the canvas. He first used this on Warsman during the Dream Tag Tournament.
- Used by Buffaloman. Facing his opponent, Buffaloman grabs him by the wrists and holds his arms up. He then brings the victim chest to chest with, jumps up into the air, and drives him head first into the canvas. This move was used multiple times against Mammothman during the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne.
- Used by Prince Kamehame. Kamehame used this move to defeat Kinnikuman at their first meeting. It is the final part in his "Triple Beefcake" combo.
- Used by Kinnikuman. One of the 52 Submissions. While in midair, Kinnikuman grabs the opponent's neck with his left hand and hooks their left leg with his right hand. He then flips back and drives back-first them into the canvas.
Slamming Techniques
- Used by Ashuraman. Ashuraman throws the enemy in the air, then he jumps in the air then stands on the enemy's feet with his knees and smashes the enemy into the mat.
- Used by Ashuraman. Ashuraman performs a standard Kinniku Buster but uses his extra arms to also grab the opponent's arms and thighs, creating a tighter hold. This Technique is called "Shivano Buster" in the dub.
- Used by Canadianman. Canadianman grabs the enemy then jumps into the air and slams the enemy into the canvas. Appears in the PlayStation 2 game Kinnikuman Generations.
- The Omegaman's trademark move.
- Used by Terryman and Terry the Kid. Terry runs up behind his opponent, strikes their neck with his knee, and drives them into the canvas. He used this technique to defeat Skull Boze and later to shatter King the 100 Ton.
- Used by Ramenman. Ramenman sends his opponent into the air and then jumps up after him. He grabs the victim by the leg and places him on his shoulders. He then flips upside down and drives his opponent head first into the canvas. He used this technique to defeat Bikeman. This Technique is called "Great Wall Drop" in the dub.
- Kinnikuman's trademark technique. Suguru places his opponent's neck on his shoulder and grabs him by the feet. He then launches up into the air and slams back down to the ground on his butt. The move's typical affect is a broken back, shattered hips, and a torn groin. Suguru first used this move against Warsman and went on to use it to gain victories against SteCase King, Atlantis, Buffaloman, and Mr. VTR. Scarface, Buffaloman and Ashuraman found weaknesses in it and developed their own versions. This attack is called "Butt Buster" in the anime dub.
- Used by Kinnikuman. While in midair, Suguru grabs his opponents ankles and rest his feet on the underside of his arms. He then proceds to ride the victim neck and shoulders first down to the canvas. He used it to destroy Akuma Shogun and later Hawkman as well.
- Akuma Shogun's trademark technique. After launching the enemy into the air, Akuma Shougan places his leg on the back of the enemy's neck and grabs their leg and slams the enemy head first into the canvas, delivering major damage to the enemy's head, neck, and leg.
- Kinniku Ataru's trademark move. It looks like a muscle spark except Ataru is facing down instead of up and holds the arms almost reminiscent of Warsman's Palo technique, driving the opponent into the canvas.
- Used by Buffaloman. A powerbomb done from midair.
- Used by Kinnikuman in Muscle Returns. Kinnikuman sets up his opponent for a standard piledriver but first sticks their head inside his tights.
- Used by Specialman. Appears in the PlayStation 2 game Kinnikuman Generations.
- Used by Brocken Jr..
- The Mountain's trademark technique. It's nothing more than a common Body Splash. What makes it so special is that Mountain weighs about 1,000 kg.
- Kinnikuman Zebra's trademark technique. With his opponent falling facedown towards the canvas, Zebra jumps up vertically and does a spinning dropkick to his opponent's chest. He then quickly flips up and over his opponent and kicks them in the back of the neck area, driving them into the wall.
- Kinnikuman's ultimate technique. 1
- Kinnikuman Super Phoenix's trademark technique. With his opponent falling upside down towards the canvas, Phoenix jumps up and headbutts them sending them flying up and then down again. He does this multiple times and then finally jumps up after his opponent. He then gets behind his upside down opponent, grabs their wrists, hooks their ankles with his legs, and drives them shoulder-area first into (usually) the corner post.
- Used by Robin Mask and Kevin Mask. With his opponent falling headfirst towards the ring, Robin jumps up and catches their head with his feet. He then extends his arms so that he lands on his palms. Right before they hit the canvas, he briefly lets go of their head only to capture it in a Triangle Choke as they touch down.
- California Crush
- Used by Brocken Jr. Brocken Jr. grabs the enemy and begins to run and slams the enemy on the canvas. This Technique is called "California Crash" in the dub.
- Ultimate Scar Buster
- Scarface's trademark technique. Scarface launches the enemy into the air and grabs his opponent's legs like a Kinniku Buster at first then the neck with his legs resulting in a locked triangle choke thus falling violently into the canvas delivering major damage to the neck area. It is referered by Scarface as an enhanced version of the Kinniku Buster in the English manga of Ultimate Muscle in vol.5.
- Turn-Over Kinniku Buster
- Used by Kinniku Mantarou in Kinnikuman Nisei. Mantarou grabs his opponent in a front neckbreaker hold, jumps into the air, somersaults, and then performs a standard Kinniku Buster but with the opponent's body facing in the opposite direction.
- Muscle G (Gravity)
- Used by Kinniku Mantarou in Kinnikuman Nisei. At first, Mantarou places his opponent in the Kinniku Buster form then jumps. At the moment, he lets go of his opponent for a brief moment then grabbing his opponent's hands with his legs then simultaneously his opponent's front neck area is in his shoulders while his legs is then grabbed by Mantarou. Completely locked in, Mantarou uses his Kajiba no Kuso Djikara which causes an intense increase in gravity then descends rapidly with his opponent into the canvas resulting the opponent's neck, spine, arms, and legs break and their chest to tear open upon impact.
- Beefcake Hammer
- Used by Jade. Jade launches the enemy into the air and grabs them from behind and places their leg on the their chest and slams the enemy head-first into the canvas, delivering major damage to the head and leg.
- Buffalo Branding
- Used by Scarface. Scarface's stronger version of Terry the Kid's version of Calf Branding. He locks his opponent's arms across their neck forming an X then places both of his knees behind his victim's head then drops resulting in a painful Facebuster.
Clutch Holds
- Kinniku Mayumi's trademark technique.
- Canadianman's trademark technique.
- Used by Kinnikuman. One of the 52 Submissions.
- Ramenman's trademark technique. He used it to rip Brokenman and (much later) Motorman in half.
- Used by Kinnikuman. Described as a "pointless version of Antonio Inoki's Manji Hold".
- Used by Neptuneman. A variation of the Octopus Hold, it was his trademark technique when he was still just Quarrelman. He used it on Kendaman, Warsman, and Sunshine.
- Used by Prince Kamehame. One of the 52 Submissions and part of his "Triple Beefcake" combo. Kamehame violently pulls and pushes the enemy's arm and leg.
- Used by Kinnikuman. One of the 52 Submissions.
- Used by Atlantis. Atlantis puts a cut on his opponent's forehead and then chokes them until blood "erupts" from the cut.
- Used by Akuma Shogun. Shogun wraps his body around his opponent's head and squeezes.
- Terryman's trademark technique. Made popular by Terry Funk, whom Terry is modeled after. Terryman grabs his opponent's leg and spins 2 to 3 times, twisting their leg and violently pulls their leg, snapping it.
- Robin Mask's trademark technique. A stronger version of the Argentine Back Breaker. Notable victims include Kinnikuman, Atlantis, Junkman, Parthenon, and Mammothman.
- Used by Kinnikuman. One of the 48 Killer Techniques. Suguru grabs his opponent by the wrist and leaps over their head and over the rope, where he pulls on their arms. He used this move against Mr. VTR.
- Used by Terryman and Terry the Kid. Another nod to Terry Funk. Terryman sits on the faced down enemy and crosses the enemy's legs and pulls (several times) the enemy's legs back, snapping it.
- Springman's trademark technique. He rolls down giant stairs like a Slinky, then traps his opponent inside his coils and squeezes until he tears them apart. He used this technique in his match against Wolfman.
- Warsman's trademark technique. Warsman jumps onto an opponent's back, wraps his legs around their calfs, grabs their wrists, and then holds up their arms, pushing them forward.
- Used by Mammothman. Mammothman grabs and constricts his opponent with his Elephant Nose until their spine is broken in two.
- Used by Pinchman. Pinchman crushes his opponent's face with his pliers hands.
- Used by Prince Kamehame. One of the 52 Submissions and part of his "Triple Beefcake" combo. Kamehame places the enemy on his back and pulls the enemy's arms, breaking the enemy's back.
- Used by Akuma Shogun. Shogun performs an Iron Claw while holding his opponent's entire body overhead.
- Used by King Cobra. King Cobra encases his opponent in wax.
- Used by Kinnikuman. One of the 52 Submissions.
- Maple Leaf Lock
- Used by Canadianman. Canadianman pounces the enemy and grabs their leg and places it under his arm and sits up, snapping the enemy's leg.
- Spinning Double Toe Hold
- Used by Scarface. Scarface's and a stronger version of Terry the Kid's version of Spinning Toe Hold.
Reversal Techniques
- Buffaloman's Kinniku Buster reversal, called the "Number Cruncher" in the anime Dub.
- The Ninja's trademark technique.
- Pentagon's trademark technique.
Beam Techniques
- Used by Kinnikuman during the Monster Hunting Days. Suguru crosses his forearms and fires a beam at his foe.
- Used by Kinnikuman during the Monster Hunting Days. Suguru jumps up and crosses his shins, firing a beam at his foe.
- A very special technique that can only be used by members of the Kinniku Clan. Kinnikuman lifts his mask, creating a very bright and powerful flash. It has no specific purpose as it can perform several different tasks. Kinnikuman has used it to cleanse a river (unintentionally), bend metal, shield himself and Robin Mask, attack Super Phoenix, and revive his fallen comrades.
- Used by Kinnikuman Super Phoenix.
- Prisman's trademark technique. While standing (or floating) in front of the sun, Prisman can fire a ray that is hot enough to burn the flesh off a Choujin. He used it to kill Kinnikuman Zebra after Zebra lost to Kinnikuman.
Defense Techniques
- Used by Kinnikuman. A special defense stance developed by Kinnikuman's grandfather Tatsunori. Kinnikuman holds his forearms in front of his face in an upside down V.
- Used by Kinnikuman.
Combo Techniques
- Used by Prince Kamehame. Kamehame performs the Gory Especial Hold and the Bow Back Breaker and then finishes off with a Back Flip.
- Used by Kinnikuman. No. 3 of the 48 Killer Moves. Suguru first puts his opponent in a double underhook position, spins him around, throwing him from arm to arm, and slams him into the canvas (). He then grabs his opponent under his arm and jumps into the air, flipping himself and the victim around until he has him in a piledriver hold (). With his opponent in a piledriver hold, Suguru drives him into the canvas (). Finally, he throws his opponent into the air, jumps up after him, cathes him in a Reverse Romero Special, and falls back to the canvas (). He used this technique to defeat Jesse Maivia.
Weapon Attacks
- Used by Brockenman.
- Used by Kinnikuman. Kinnikuman removes his head-fin and slashes at his opponent.
- Used by Kinkotsuman.
- Used by Warsman. Warsman does a spinning horizontal leap towards his opponent, slicing them up with his exposed Bear Claws.
- Teapackman's trademark technique. Teapackman removes the tea bag from his head and smack his opponent around.
- Used by Planetman. Planetman throws Saturn's ring at his opponent like a boomerang, slashing them.
- Used by Sunshine. Sunshine's torso opens up, revealing a ringer that the enemy is run through.
- Used by Terryman.
- Savanna Heat
- Used by Gazelleman. Gazelleman puts on his Antler Fist and somersaults in midair towards his opponent, slashing them.
- Bone Cold Blade
- Bone Cold's Trademark Technique. Bone Cold locks-on the enemy's weak point (heart) and shoots the roped blade from his blade gun.
Special Techniques
- Used by Mr. VTR. VTR presses his Pause Button, causing his opponent to instantly stop their movement.
- SteCase King's trademark technique. SteCase King jumps onto an opponents shoulders and places his headphone feet over their ears. He then plays really loud music, causing the opponent massive ear damage and knocking them unconscious.. Also known as .
- Geronimo's trademark technique. Geronimo cries his battle cry (U-Ra-Ra!!) so loudly that it creates shockwaves. He used this technique to defeat sand brick behemoth Sunshine, whose weakness was loud noises. In the second anime it was called the Yasei no Otakebi (Wild War Cry). This Technique is named "Apache Yell" in the dub.
- Used by Kinnikuman.
- Used by The Ninja. The Ninja breathes fireballs from his mouth.
- Used by Pentagon. Pentagon turns the star on his face upside down, causing his opponent to freeze in place.
- Ashuraman's trademark technique. Ashuraman holds all six of his arms up to one side and then throws them down to the other, sending a small tornado towards his opponent.
- Used by Brockenman. Brockenman breathes poisonous gas from his mouth.
- Used by Puyopuyo.
- Used by Kinnikuman.
Other
- Used by Ramenman. This collection of martial arts techniques originates from Ramenman's spinoff series Tatakae!! Ramenman, but became so popular that Yudetamago began using it in Kinnikuman as well. In Kinnikuman Nisei it is established that these techniques are now Ramenman's main finishing moves.
- Sunshine's trademark technique.
- Used by Akuma Shogun. It is a combo of nine devastating techniques in a row, ending with the Hell's Guillotine. This Technique is called "Nine-Point Seal of Doom" in the dub.
- Used by Benkiman.

- Black Hole
- Black Hole's Trademark Technique. Black Hole sucks the enemy into his face until Black Hole attacks the enemy when traveling into the diemention or spits the enemy out. This Technique is called "Black Hole Absorption" in the dub.
- Shadow Hitmen
- One of Black Hole's trademark techniques. Black Hole sinks into the ground and a series of Black Hole clones emerge from the ground to attack the enemy.
- Binding Spider Web
- Used by The Ninja. The Ninja ties the enemy with the ropes and shoots several fire balls at the enemy and launches them into the air by slamming the enemy's head, untieing them. The Ninja uses a back flip kick in the Generation games. This Technique is called "Ninja Web" in the dub.
Double Team Techniques
- The trademark technique of the Hell Missionaries (Neptuneman and Big the Budou). The two of them simultaneously clothesline the same opponent (Neptuneman from the front, Budou from the back). Kinnikuman and Robin Mask (as Blue Impulse) also used this move but called it the "Japanese/English Bomber".
- A collection of tag maneuvers used by Ashuraman and Sunshine. Sunshine and Ashuraman throw the enemies into the air and the two collide, launching one who Sunshine lifts by their arms and legs to the ground while Ashuraman grabs the other enemy's arms and leg and slams the enemy facedown on the enemy lifted by Sunshine, delivering extreme damage to the torso.
- The trademark technique of Screw Kid and Kendaman. Screw Kid extends his spikes as he jumps and comes down on his enemy, and Kendaman jumps on top of his head and uses his massive weight to increase the force of the spikes' penetration.
- Satan Cross' trademark technique which he performs with his demon parasite.
- Used by Buffaloman and Springman.
- Used by Choujin Master/Student Combo (Robin Mask and Warsman).
- Used by Kinnikuman Super Phoenix, Mammothman, and Prisman.
- Used by Skull Boze and Devil Magician.
- The trademark technique of the Muscle Brothers (Kinnikuman and Kinnikuman Great). Kinnikuman does a Kinniku Buster on one opponent while Great (Kamehame and later Terryman) does a Kinniku Driver on the other opponent. The "docking" part comes from the fact that Kinnikuman is actually sitting on Great's shoulders during the technique.
- The trademark move of the 4D Killer Combo (Black Hole and Pentagon). Pentagon slams the enemies in Black Holes face. Black Hole fires the enemies in the air and the two piledrive the enemies. This technique is called "4D Fusion" in the Generation games.
- Used by the Ganryu Island Combo (Kinnikuman and The Samurai).
- The trademark technique of the 20 Million Powers (Mongolman and Buffaloman). Mongolman and Buffalomna stand back to back. Mongolman then hooks Buffalomans arms and carries him on his back. He then bends forward and charges towards the opponents. Buffaloman's Long Horn then grows, impaling the opponents.
- The Tag Technique of Big the Budou and Neptuneman. Neptuneman fallows Big the Budou who jumps in the air to grab the enemy who Neptuneman slide kicks into air and grabs the other enemy and jumps into the air and Big the Budou slams the enemy between his legs and he and Neptuneman slam the enemies' heads into each other.
Games
- Muscle Collaboration
- A Tag Technique used by Kinniku Suguru and Mantarou in the Generation games. Mantaro and Suguru grab each other's arms and spin kick one enemy that Suguru prepares a Kinniku Buster on and the other that Mantaro performs Muscle Millennium on. Mantarou and Suguru spring towards each other with their enemies from the ropes and Suguru collides with Mantarou's enemy, resulting in a powerful Collision.
- Texas Eldarado
- Terryman and and Terry the Kid Tag Technique used in the Generation games. Terryman and Kid punch the enemies several times and punches them into the air. Terryman and Terry the Kid both perform Calf Branding on the enemy, riding the enemies' heads into each other.
- M&K Connection
- Kinniku Mantarou and Terry the Kid's Tag Technique used in the Generation games. Kid punches the Opponent he's facing while Mantarou kicks the other opponent in the stomach and both Kid and Mantarou throw their advirseries in the air to each other and both perform a Cutter on each of their opponents.
- Red Rain of Berlin
- Brocken Jr. and Jade's Tag Technique used in the Generation games. A fire handed Jade runs behind the enemies then Brocken Jr. slashes the enemies towards Jade who punches the enemy in the air where Brocken Jr. slashes the enemy to the canvas with his version of Red Rain of Berlin and slashes the other enemy higher towards Jade who uses his version of Red Rain of Berlin to send the enemy to the canvas.
- Thames Rapids
- Robin Mask and Kevin Mask's Tag Technique used in the the Generation games. Kevin Mask punches an enemy towards the ropes then throws the other enemy who he fallows into the air while Robin Mask attacks the other enemy with his Unicorn Head and while he performs his Robin Special, Kevin Mask performs Big Ben Edge.
- The Tag Team Technique of the Choujin Master/Student Combo (Robin Mask or Kevin Mask and Warsman) used in the Generation games. Warsman performs Screw Driver after being thrown by Robin Mask/Kevin Mask to attack the enemies and launch one into the air, then Robin Mask/Kevin Mask performs Tower Bridge on the enemy while Warsman performs the Palo Special on the other, then Robin Mask/Kevin Mask falls on Warsman's shoulders, resulting in a powerful Tower Bridge and Palo Special.
- Shooting Lucky Strike
- The Tag Technique used by Bone Cold and Kinkotsuman in the Generation games. Bone Cold locks-on the enemies but Kinkotsuman blocks his scope and Bone Cold begins to attack Kinkotsuman with Bone Cold Blade but attacks the enemies several times as Kinkotsuman dodges the shots.
- Skull Castinets
- The Tag Technique of Ashuraman and either Buffaloman or The Ninja in the Generation games. Ashuraman and Buffaloman/The Ninja brutaly attack the enemies several times and kick the enemies into the air, back-to-back, then Ashuraman and Buffaloman/The Ninja spring from the ropes into the air kick the enemies' heads into each other.
- Harmunosious Meditation
- The Tag Technique of Kinniku Mayumi and Harabote Muscle in the Generation games. When airborn, Mayumi and Harabote grab each other's arms and begin spinning then body slam the enemies.
- Kinniku Buster Variation PART 6
- The Tag Technique of Scarface and Buffaloman in the Generation games. Scarface and Baffaloman grab the enemies and jump back to back into the air and both perform the Kinniku Buster.
- North America Corporation
- The Tag Technique of the Big Bombers (Canadianman and Specialman) in the games. Canadianman and Specialman spring the enemies, shoulder to shoulder, from the ropes by throwing them into them and grab each others shoulders and drop kick the enemies after springing from the ropes.
- Most Dangerous Combination
- The Tag Technique of The Most Dangerous Combo (Brocken Jr. and Wolfman) in the Generation games. Wolfman hand slaps his enemy and Brocken Jr. uses a combination of both versions of Red Rain of Berlin on enemy and he and Wolfman hand slap/slashes the enemies towards each other and hand slap the enemy into each other. This Technique is called "Most Dangerous Rush" in the dub.
- Duet Brains
- The Tag Techniques of the third Blood Alliance (Brocken Jr. and Buffaloman), Dangerous Troopers (Jade and Buffaloman), Demon Knight Duo (The Ninja and Sunshine), Generation EX (Scarface and Jade), first Gruesome Threesome (Bone Cold and Hanzo), Muscle-Skull Feud (Kinniku Suguru and Kinkotsuman), New Nightmares (Checkmate and Sunshine), Oriental Method (Kinniku Mantarou and The Ninja), Super Ninjas (The Ninja and Hanzo), The Animal Ones (Gazelleman and Buffaloman), Union Jacks (Nepuneman and Robin Mask), dMp Rouges (the members of dMp except Ricardo, Lord of Darkness and Sunshine Supereme), and B-Evolutions (Scarface and Kevin Mask) in the Generation games. The users kick the enemies into each other's arms and throw the enemies into the air and kick the enemies' heads into each other and begin spinning and send the enemies spinning, head first into the canvas.
- Double German Suplex
