  • Kapitan's - Established in 1914, Kapitan's was a well-known restaurant in Johannesburg and was one of the city's oldest restaurants. In the 1950s, Nelson Mandela frequently lunched here, and Mandela also brought his future wife, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, there on their first date. Madanjit Ranchod worked at the restaurant for 63 years, and the restaurant closed after Ranchod died in December 2007.

  • Top of the Ritz Restaurant - This is a revolving restaurant located in Sea Point, Cape Town, atop the Ritz Hotel on the 21st floor. As of October 2013, it is Western Cape's sole revolving restaurant.
