List of international cricket centuries at the Providence Stadium
Providence Stadium is a sports ground in Providence, Guyana, it has a capacity of 15,000. The ground have been hosted only 2 Test cricket since 2008 when West Indies played Sri Lanka for the first time. 18 One Day Internationals (ODIs) have been hosted, where the first of which was in 2007 when South Africa played Sri Lanka in 2007 ICC World Cup pool game, where Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga demolished Preoteas with four-of-four for the first time in international cricket history. The first of the 6 Twenty20 International matches held at the venue dated back to 2007 where New Zealand won the match by 2 wickets against Sri Lanka.
Sri Lankan opener Malinda Warnapura became the first man to score a Test century at Providence Stadium when he made 120 against West Indies in the inaugural match. The score of 136 by Sri Lankan maestro Mahela Jayawardene against Windies in the same match recorded the highest score seen at the ground with 136 runs. Overall, there are only 2 Test centuries have been scored at the ground.
Four ODI centuries have been scored at Providence Stadium, and the first by Sri Lanka legend Sanath Jayasuriya who scored 115 from 101 deliveries against West Indies in 2007 World Cup pool match. The highest score achieved at the ground is unbeaten 125 made by Pakistani Babar Azam against Windies in 2017.
The only player to score a Twenty20 International century at the venue is Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka against Zimbabwe in 2010 ICC World Twenty20.
