This is a list of school bus services in the county of Essex, England.

Introduction

  • Information is incomplete - this is just a guide to Essex school bus routes (please see Traveline South East for more information such as route planners and timetables, as well as Essex County Council Public Transport Information).
  • Transport for London routes which include sections in Essex are listed here. (These are marked TfL in the 'Notes' section).
  • Bus routes in Thurrock (a unitary authority in Essex) are listed here.
  • Routes marked use easy access buses which are accessible to the disabled. Please note operators may occasionally use step-entrance buses to temporarily replace other buses when they are not available. All TfL services are guaranteed easy access and fully wheelchair accessible.
  • School bus services usually do not operate during school holidays or at weekends. Services are liable to change timetables at short notice in line with the school's needs.
  • Most school bus services in this list are operated under contract to Essex County Council.
