List of characters in Out of Jimmy's Head

This is a list of characters from the television show, Out of Jimmy's Head.

Main Live Action Characters

Jimmy Roberts

  • Actor/Voice Actor: Dominic Janes

Jimmy Roberts is a socially awkward and overly nice 12-year-old boy who can't say no to anyone, and as a result, ends up getting taken advantage of on a regular basis, even by his best friend Craig. This problem continues during his class trip to Golly World, where he first misses out on many of the rides because Craig suggests to the popular kids that Jimmy hold their items for them, in an attempt to make himself popular. The popular children then, on Craig's suggestion, tell Jimmy to go try to find Milt Appleday's frozen brain, which supposedly is hidden somewhere in Tux's Arctic Adventure. As usual, Jimmy unwillingly gives in, and once there, bumps into Milt's son Sonny, who is attempting to retrieve the brain from underneath the ice. After being spotted by Sonny, Jimmy quickly flees and during his escape, accidentally runs onto the path of an oncoming Croco-train and is sent to the hospital, where Milt's brain (which one of the doctors keeps in his lunch cooler) is transplanted into his head. He makes it out of the operation just fine with his personality intact (explained by the doctors salvaging his "personality gland") but, he can now see all of Appleday's characters in real life, while no one else can, due to Milt having Schizophrenia. Despite being aware that the characters are imaginary, Jimmy does embarrassing things in front of other people in public due to the characters' actions (such as prancing around on the stage during a talent show like a moron in order to preserve his relationship with Tux or skating so fast that he knocks down everyone in his path.)

On a side note, there are parts in the TV series where Jimmy ends up animated.

Craig Wheeler

  • Actor: Micah Karns (movie), Jon Kent Ethridge (TV series)

Craig is Jimmy's best friend. Craig seems to take advantage of Jimmy on a daily basis and is mad at Jimmy for leaving him at Golly World even though he knew he was in the hospital. He is fixated on being part of the popular crowd. Easily excitable and impulsive, Craig is always coming up with ridiculous schemes to get popular and impress girls. He wants to be cool and uses Jimmy to make him more popular and uses Jimmy's brain as an excuse for him to say he's popular, and using it to get popular people to come to his party, who are only there because they think Jimmy will be there too. Still, he proves himself to be a good friend, and seems to be less self-absorbed in the series than in the movie. In the series he is a prankster and thinks Jimmy's IDeaS are lame.

Robin Wheeler

  • Actress: Eunice Cho (movie), Tinashe Kachingwe (TV series)

Robin is Craig's older sister and Jimmy's crush. She's 12 years old(14 in the movie), pretty, smart, level-headed, and always fashionable. Although she is the most popular girl in school, she's secretly Appleday Pictures' biggest fan. She even has a password-locked room so full of Appleday merchandise that Golly says that even he isn't as crazy AbOUT himself as she is. Whenever she and Jimmy come into contact, Jimmy gets mixed up and has trouble speaking. She ignores Jimmy at first, but then she finds out that he has Milt's brain and is seeing the cartoons. Once she takes an interest in him, she comes to like everything about him.

Sonny Alabaster Appleday

  • Actor: Matt Knudson

Sonny is the sinister, villainous, and only son of The Famous animator Milt Appleday, and was nicknamed "Booger" due to his odd and abnormal behavior. He has a good evil laugh and often announces his plans out loud, which results in people around him catching on very fast to what his plans are - which tends to be the reason his plans fail. He lives with Jimmy's family, having rented out the guest bedroom. He is crazy and a crackpot and at the end of the film "Re-Animated," reveals that he misses his father very much, and seems to be very sad about the fact that his father is dead. He wants his father's brain so he can use the cartoons in it to be a great cartoonist. He intends to extract new cartoons from the brain, pass them off as his own, and then take over the world somehow. He gets a lot of sass from Jimmy's sister, Yancy, who tells him to shut up and stop shouting his plans. He always says he's going to call her a name the next time she tells him to shut up but never does, then makes up new comeback after the fact that aren't very bright. He obeys only Yancy because of her stern attitude and shouting at him which he whines about often. He is immature, and in the film was seen stuffing food into his mouth so he could leave the dinner table early. He wears a cape and a false mustache that is intended to show his evil. He also has a lot of dirt on his face that also shows the evil inside him. He shouts a lot and laughs a lot even though he is a failure. His one and only friend is a bag of money named Mittens. His appearance is similar to the lead singer of the Aquabats, MC Bat Commander. In the end of the film "Re-Animated," Yancy blasts Sonny with a teleportation ray and makes him disappear, though he reappears in the epilogue during the end credits. In the series "Out of Jimmy's Head, Sonny is still making every attempt to steal Jimmy's brain.

Ken Roberts

  • Actor: Bil Dwyer

Jimmy's Dad, Ken Roberts, is the guidance counselor at Jimmy's school, where he insists that Jimmy address him as "Mr. Roberts." He's so full of child-like wonder that he's basically a giant kid. His childish acts are similar to Sonny's, but it is taken to an extreme. He does strange things like getting dressed in the car while driving Jimmy to school, or allowing Sonny to live in the family's house just because Sonny went through a lot of "trouble" to deceive him. Dad's first name was revealed in the episode "Sleepover."

Louisa Roberts

  • Actor: Rachel Quaintance

Louisa is Jimmy's mother and a professional astronaut, whom is always away when Jimmy needs her because she's on business a lot. Curiously, her missions go beyond mere space exploration, extending to science-fiction inspired duties such as battling space pirates (as referenced in the episode "Talent Show") and blowing up unnecessary moons (as referenced in the episode "Soda"). But when she is home, she's a caring and supportive parent. She acts as a stabilizing presence in the Roberts household, calmly putting up with Yancy's attitude and Providing a counterbalance to her husband's silliness. She is always positive and rarely ever gets angry or upset; the only time she has been shown getting in any way excited is in "Mascot" when she screams a battle cry while fighting off an alien invasion. She is always proud of Jimmy, despite his quirks and flaws. Her first name is Louisa, which is revealed in "Sleepover."

Yancy Roberts

  • Actor: Rhea Lando

Yancy is Jimmy's bossy foster older sister and acts like a normal teenage girl. She's your basic 16-year-old girl: obsessed with boys, music and always fighting her parents for more independence. The only difference between Yancy and other girls her age is she's a green-skinned alien that Mom adopted on one of her space trips. She is referred to as "Alien-American", even though home planets are completely different from races. Yancy has powers which are mentioned a few times. Mostly the fact that she gets AM radio on her antennae, which Sonny remarked is weird. She takes it personally when she is insulted about being an alien. She has a sharp attitude and doesn't interact with Jimmy very often. She hates Sonny for his disrespectful attitude and he tried [...] her in the middle of the movie by throwing a knife at her, which missed and landed a spot on the wall instead. This angered her very much, making her yell at him to go upstairs. She also has a boyfriend who is a werewolf as revealed in "Sleepover". She does care about Jimmy, for at the end she made Sonny disappear (apparently a form of teleportation) trying to save Jimmy and she disappeared after that.

Minor Live action characters

Mike Werewolfowitz

  • Actor: Ryan Eggold

Mike is Yancy's boyfriend, who is also a werewolf. He is not seen at all during the movie and made his first appearance in the episode Sleepover, seen walking into Jimmy's backyard crying because Yancy had dumped him. He has made a few more appearances since then, in the episodes Ghosts and Sick Day, although in the first, it was merely a gag and didn't last long. Since his last name is Werewolfowitz, it is likely that all the people in his family are werewolves. In Sick Day he was seen as a human and it is reveled that he sleeps for three days after he eats.

Animal-loving Kevin

  • Actor: Austin Rogers

Kevin is another kid who goes to Jimmy's school. He is obsessed with animals and brings his most recent one to school every day. He made his appearance in the movie (asking Jimmy to hold his man-eating python) but his name is not mentioned until the show. He appeared in 'Talent Show,' and his talent was a singing duck (although it appears the duck was not aware of its exact species). He also became Jimmy's friend in 'Friends,' although Jimmy only became his friend to make Craig jealous. His room is filled with animals when Jimmy goes there in 'Friends,' and there are even ironically two gophers (resembling Golly and Dolly), a penguin (resembling Tux), an alligator (resembling Crocco), a porcupine (resembling Prickles), and a jar of pickles (resembling Pickles).

Crazy Jake

  • Actor: Caden Micheal Gray

Another kid in Jimmy's school who made no appearance in the movie. He was first seen in 'Friends,' trying to be Craig's friend. As the nickname obviously suggests, Crazy Jake acts strangely, often popping up from nowhere. In 'Friends,' he also tried disguising himself by wrapping tinfoil around his face, and apparently carries doll heads in his backpack. He also was seen in 'Ghosts,' asking Craig (who was pretending to be a psychic) why he had been forced to live for 6000 years. In this episode, he seems to be more like some kind of monster than a weird kid. At the end of the episode, He locks himself and Craig inside a closet and transforms into some kind of monster, which is not seen. Craig declares the monster is "Neat." In 'Ambush," he was revealed to be the winner of the ambush game last year, and in the same episode he revealed his last name is Crazeman.

Easily Excited Kid

  • Actor: Terrance Hardy

This is another kid at Jimmy's school, first seen in the movie. He is excited by everything and always says "Yeah!"

Hildy Jeffries

She works for the school newspaper as a jorunalist. She was first seen in the episode, "Ghosts". Later, she was seen again in the episode, "Soda", trying to get the scoop on bootleg soda while dating Jimmy. She is voiced by Katelin Petersen

Cosima Von Darkness

Cosima is another evil character who was created by an evil scientist. She showed Sonny her robotic right hand stating that she's a cyborg. She made her debut in the episode, "Soda", as Yancy was trying to find a girlfriend for Sonny online at "evilmatch.evil".

C. Kingsley Weatherhead

A prissy, stuck-up, mini corporate bully who gets egg salad banned from the school and wants Jimmy to make Robin into his Queen for the winter formal. Has a large base behind the lockers and has an annoying evil laugh. His first name is Chester.

Main Animated Characters

Golly Gopher

  • Voice Actors: Paul Reubens (movie), Carlos Alazraqui (TV series)

Golly is a gopher who wants to become a star again after his reputation degraded, and uses Jimmy to do so. He is the confident leader and iconic main character of Appleday Studios. On screen, Golly is a charming, funny, fun-loving, and cheerful hero, but in Jimmy's head he's really a manipulative egomaniac and narcissist who's always putting himself before others. Sure Golly can be self-serving, but when push comes to shove, he cares about the cartoon gang and Jimmy. Golly is a spoof of Mickey Mouse. Just like Mickey looks very similar to Minnie, Golly looks very similar to Dolly. He likes putting Dolly's bow on reveled in 'Sleepover' because he thinks it makes him pretty. He appears to get a little jealous when Jimmy listens to Dolly instead of him also reveled in 'Sleepover.

Dolly Gopher

  • Voice Actor: Ellen Greene

Dolly is Golly's girlfriend. However, she is his exact opposite. She is the overly sweet, empathetic heroine. She's a perpetual worrier and even the smallest complaint directed her way sends her into a tailspin of apologies. She is polite to a fault, apologizes often and cries even when she is not in trouble, and is a big worry-wart (or at least that's what Golly called her). In addition, she is insanely romantic. However, she remains a friendly and well-behaved young lady, however due to Multiple Personality Disorder she has a Rude, and stereotypical tomboyish personalty, though similar to Gollys' in some ways, in addition, she also has a New York accent. Though it only shows when her bow is removed. In the series, she is somewhat like Jimmy's guilty conscience. She is a spoof of Minnie Mouse. She is able to speak French as revealed in 'Sick Day' and help Robin study for French class. Also, in "Skate Head", Dolly is revealed to be an expert skater. Without her bow she is mistaken for a boy and ends up acting like a boy reveled in 'Sleepover'.

NOTE: Her rude personality is similar to those characters who are voiced by Janyse Jaud.

Tux

  • Voice Actor: Tom Kenny

Tux is a wise-cracking comedian penguin who's always telling really terrible jokes and puns. He has a slight lisp and carries around a microphone. His cheesy catchphrase is "Zing!", which he says after every joke and several sentences. No one laughs at his jokes, and they are usually followed by silence, staring and booing. However, Tux continues to think that he is a riot. While doing the "I Love Tomorrow" MusicAL number, he was dancing with his microphone. When they were in the Decappy-Rail, Tux made frequent puns about the weaponry in the train. (e.g. "Hey Jimmy! Look what I saw!" as a chainsaw came near him) He is a possible parody of Donald Duck, though his lisp is similar to Daffy Duck's. He shares a name with the Linux mascot Tux. He mentions he has an ex-wife reaveled in 'Talent Show' that was an owl. In 'Sleepover' his new penguin girlfriend makes an appearance. In the movie he wears a dickie around his neck but it doesn't appear in the show and he also has teeth but it could be possible that the teeth are fake. Tux also likes to sing and dance that is reaveled in 'Talent show'. Although nobody laughs at his jokes in 'Talent Show' he made one joke that the gang laugh to, but it could be possible that they were faking it because Golly threw tomatoes at him a few seconds after.

Crocco

  • Voice Actor: Brian Posehn

Crocco is Golly's dim-witted idiot alligator sidekick. He is the equivalent to Goofy, and doesn't remember much. He angers Golly to no end. But underneath the stupidity, and then underneath a little more stupidity, there lies a kindhearted soul who's always trying to be helpful. Despite his name, Crocco is an alligator. Crocco is "just a family name." He also has a train named after him: the Crocco-Rail Express. It hit Jimmy early in the movie, causing him to lose his brain, which is the whole reason that a 12 year old has a famous animator's brain. Although it is named after him, Crocco didn't know how to conduct the train which May Be a joke since it hit Jimmy. In an episode called 'Mascot' it is revealed that he had an albino alligator girlfriend, with pink and red eyes and yellow hat with a drooping flower, who broke up with him after he got her chopped by a heilicopter and while on a trampoline. In an episode called 'Bully' it is revealed that he loves egg salad and at the dance scene, he is seen dancing with Tux. He eats his friends if he is hungry and doesn't have egg salad.

Pickles and Prickles

Two MUTE characters who have completely different personalities: Pickles is a nice, upbeat, and psychotically hyperactive pickle. Prickles is a depressed, careless, and deadpan porcupine who never smiled through the whole film, though he has recently smiled in the episode Friends, but frowned mere seconds after. They are a duo that starred in their own series of Appleday cartoons. When they come in contact with each other, they attempt to beat and clobber the other up using classic cartoon weaponry, such as anvils or hammers, which is their main activity, on screen and off. However, in Friends it's revealed that Pickles and Prickles are best friends, despite their violent nature towards each other. They are a parody of Tom and Jerry. Even though they are best friends Golly says that Pickles hates Prickles. So far in season 1 they had been seen in only four episodes. Pickles is the only one in the gang who is not an animal. Prickles wears a tie that he doesn't wear in the movie. In the movie and an episode called 'Bully', they both dance together in the dance scene. The two of them are not voice by anyone set they are mute. They were also seen in 'Ambush' in one of Golly's episodes on his show.

Minor Animated Characters

Allie

Allie is Crocco's girlfriend, a large white alligator (or she might be a crocodile). Her first appearance is in the movie, at the end, at Craig's party when they put a slow song on. the second to date is in the episode 'Mascot,' while Jimmy's dad was watching Crocco cartoons, however she is more detailed in this episode. In the cartoon, she is sent flying off a trampoline by Crocco and cut into many pieces by a dinosaur with a spinning tail. She was seen again at the end of the episode complaining that Jimmy liked Crocco better as a cartoon alligator. She has probably dumped Crocco because in the dance scene Crocco is seen dancing with Tux.

Dr. Plover

  • Voice Actor: Tom Kenny

Dr. Plover is a plover who apppeared in the episode "Friends." He happens to be Crocco's dentist. Crcoco first said that he was his best friend which made Golly jealous, but in the end of the episode Golly saids that he is not his friend and told him that he is his dentist. He is not seen after this.

Misshapen Moose

  • Voice Actor: Grey DeLisle

In the episode "Ghosts," Jimmy is haunted by Milt's unfinished school drawings. To get rid of them, he puts the drawings together to make his first cartoon character. It was intended to be a moose, but Robin thought it was a chicken and Carol Ann couldn't tell if it was a dolphin or a lawnmower. For some reason, it looked more like a moose as a cartoon than a drawing. Despite its large part as Jimmy's first toon, it is never seen again, nor is it given a name.

Officer Akita

  • Voice Actor: Carlos Alazraqui

Officer Akita is a policeman dog that appears in the episode "Ambush."

Velma

Velma is another cartoon penguin and possibly Tux's girlfriend. She is only seen onscreen for a few seconds in 'Sleepover' and never makes another appearance.
