List of Beast Wars Toys

Over the years Hasbro released a huge amount of Transformers figures; this is a list of all figures in the Beast Wars era. The Television series that proceeded the release of some Beast Wars figures explained that the Maximals are the ancestors of the great Autobots, while the Predacons are the ancestors of the evil Decepticons. The two opposing factions were destined to do battle on prehistoric earth for the future of Cybertron itself. After the show aired many toys were released to correspond with the characters of the series, and many toy characters had there backgrounds changed to fit within the shows continuity. IDW produced eight comics after the show had ended named "The Gathering" and "The Ascending" featuring all the toy characters that were not featured in the original series. This gave a solid background to all of the toy characters. There are a number of toys in the Beast Wars line, original transformers with purely organic beast modes which transform to robots. There are also "Transmetals" characters that have had there super structure mutated by a "Quantum Serge" as seen in the TV series. After the surge hit, most of the stasis pods orbiting earth were affected and broken, this caused the birth of the "Fuzors" Maximals and Predacons with a beast mode made up of two different animals, as well as a new faction dubbed "Mutants" Cybertronians which change from beast to beast, but still have robotic parts under there skin. And finally, Transmetal 2's, using alien technology Megatron was able to enhance the Transmetal state beyond capable limits, also while mingling there sparks with Prime and the Original Megatrons, Optimus Primal and Megatron became somewhat of a Transmetal 2's, Optimus now being "Optimal Optimus" and Megatron turning into a Dragon.
