List of Appalachian State Mountaineers playoff games
The Appalachian State Mountaineers football team currently competes as part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), representing Appalachian State University in the Southern Conference. Appalachian State has appeared in the playoffs 20 times, tied for second most all-time. The Mountaineers made their first appearance in 1986 and their last in 2012. With a move to the Sun Belt Conference of the Football Bowl Subdivision in 2014, the Mountaineers will be playoff ineligible during their last year in the Southern Conference. Appalachian's playoff resume includes 41 total games played, accounting for 24 wins and 17 losses. The Mountaineers won 13 straight games on the way to capturing three consecutive national championships from 2005 to 2007.
