LINKdotNET is an Egyptian ISP and internet company.
The first precursor of LINKdotNET was InTouch Communications. Established in 1992, InTouch was the first ISP in Egypt. Another company, Link Egypt, was formed in 1995 to provide internet services and solutions.
In June 2000, these two companies merged to become LINKdotNET. LINKdotNET is backed by the technical and financial resources of Orascom Telecom Holding Company, the largest integrated telecommunications services provider in the region, which serves twenty markets throughout the Middle East and Africa.
In May 2002, LINKdotNET acquired eight leading Egyptian internet companies, all established and popular dotcoms, significantly raising the company’s value, and making it the region’s largest internet company, with over 1500 employees.
