Lightweight window manager

lwm is a lightweight X11 window manager written by Elliott Hughes. It was based upon the 9wm window manager.

  • No keyboard equivalents for some operations
  • Three button mouse functionality is required
  • Can be compiled to use either a click to focus or sloppy focus model
  • Applications launched via a terminal only
  • Lightweight - Has few dependencies and rated as a pinhammer on the hammer scale
  • Not accessibility friendly - utilizes middleclick and rightclick and has no keyboard equivalents for some operations
