Business career

Prior to Luk's current career, he was a senior partner of a Hong Kong law firm and a Director of a major toy company in Hong Kong . Currently he is the Deputy Chairman of Hutchison Harbour Ring Limited.

Martial Arts

He practises martial arts since 1974 under the influence of the late Bruce Lee. The first martial art he studied was Ving Tsun Kung Fu. He was certified as a qualified Ving Tsun Kung Fu Instructor by the late Wong Shun Leung. He subsequently became the Founding Director of Ip Man Tong Development Council ; the Chairman of The First World Ving Tsun Conference 1999 ; the Chairman (2004-2006) of Ving Tsun Athletic Association, Hong Kong and the Chairman of Hong Kong Wing Chun Federation. In 1997 after the passing away of the late Wong Shun Leung, he met his second Sifu, Ted Wong and started the training in Jeet Kune Do.In the same year he joined the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Nucleus as a first overseas member from Hong Kong. With the approval from the Nucleus, he set up the first overseas branch known as Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Hong Kong Chapter and acted as its Founding President. In 2000 he was certified as a Jeet Kune Do Instructor by Sifu Ted Wong. Apart from Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do, he has also participated in other martial arts activities including as :

• • a Guest-of-Honor of The Second World Ving Tsun Conference 2005 ;
  • the Honorary President of Hong Kong Wushu Union ;
  • the Honorary Chairman of The 5th World Wushu Championships ;
  • the Team Manager of the Hong Kong Wushu Sanshou Team for The 7th World Wushu Championships

Religious Affiliation

He is a Member of The Methodist Church, Hong Kong since 1976. In 2002, he has helped to establish the Toys Christian Fellowship in Hong Kong.
