Les Vergers du Mekong is a fruit processing and CoFFEE roasting firm in Vietnam. The company produces and sells premium juices, artisan-created jam, roasted coffee and organic tea in the Horeca and in the retail market in Vietnam.
History
The General Manager, Jean-Luc Voisin from Savoie, has 20 years of experience within the food and agribusiness.
Apart from Mr Voisin’s family ownership, one of the shareholders is the French coffee roaster Cafés Folliet established in 1880 in Savoie, France. They enjoy a leading position in the French market, supplying more than 20,000 hotels and restaurants.
Les Vergers du Mekong with its one hundred staff members is now one of the most experienced and respected fruit processor and coffee roasting firm in the country. The headquarters are based in Ho Chi Minh City and several branches have been established over the years in Hanoi, Nha Trang, Danang and Phnom Penh. The production plant is located in Can Tho, in the Mekong Delta for its various natural resources.
Les Vergers du Mekongs has three separate brands: Le Fruit for the 100% fruit juices and jams, Cafés Folliet for the French roasted coffee and Les Vergers du Mekong for the organic full-leaves tea.
Les Vergers Du Mékong, with its brand Le Fruit, is the official sponsor of the Offroad Triathlon (organized by Viet Adventure).
Les Vergers du Mekong has been awarded the Best French Small and Medium Enterprises in Vietnam in March 2013. This trophy recognized the most outstanding achievements by French businesses in Vietnam as well as its integration and contribution to Vietnam’s economy.
Sustainable development
Les Vergers du Mekong's strategy is based on high-quality food and beverage, developed thanks to long-term partnerships with its suppliers. The protection of the environment is one of the major concern for Les Vergers du Mekong:
- The factory recycles 100% of its organic waste and glass packaging.
- The packaging of the bottles is based on eco-packing by using high-density polyethylene which has the lowest impact on the environment.
- The company encourages the employees to have an eco-friendly attitudes.
