Leonard Hochstein
Leonard Hochstein often referred to as Dr. H, (born in Moscow, U.S.S.R - June 18/66) is a Russian born American Plastic Surgeon featured on Bravo's original series - Miami Slice. He is in private practice in Aventura, FL, USA. Throughout the years Dr. H. has become famous for his beautiful shapes and NATURAL approach to plastic surgery. His patients fly from all over the world to meet and operate with this surgeon in high demand!
THE DOCTOR AND HIS TRAINNING
Dr. Hochstein's notority began at an early age when as a merit scholar during his high school year he was able to skip the typical four years of college and go straight into medical school. He graduated as Valedictorian of his class from the accelerated program he took at the Louisiana State Medical Center. Working closely with Plastic Surgery, he received his M.D. in 1990.
He moved on to Dallas, TX where from 1990 into 1995 he continued his training in General and Trauma Surgery at the Parkland Memorial Hospital.
During these years Dr. Hochstein published several scientific papers in international publications. Among them the Annals of Plastic Surgery. In 1995 he served as surgical chief resident at Parkland Memorial.
From 1995 - 1998 he jumped into Plastic Surgery attending the University of Miami where he had the privilege to serve directly with Dr. Ralph Millard. Together Dr. Millard and Dr. Hochstein wrote a paper on peri-operative care of the cosmetic patient. He served as chief resident in Plastic Surgery in 1998. During that year, Dr. H ran the busy cosmetic surgery clinic at the University of Miami, as well as the surgical clinic at the Veterans Hospital of Miami.
He once again came into evidence by winning the Academic Award at the University of Miami for receiving the highest score on the "Plastic Surgery in-service exam." An exam, which is taken by every resident plastic surgeon worldwide.
Currently as a Board Certified doctor, Dr. Hochstein practices at this own surgical facility, fully acreddited located in Aventura, Florida. He has been featured on several magazine articles and television shows.
