Lehara Durga Mandir
Lehra Durga Mandir is very famous temple of goddess Durga. It is situated on the bank of river PawahH (a subsidiary of river Rapti) around three kilometer from the Lehra railway station in Maharajganj district, Uttar Pradesh. It is very old temple, people believe that this Temple exists from Dvapar Yuga (before the Mahabharat war) and founded by Lord Krisna in the presence of Pandvas during the Agyatvaas time of the Pandvas. Earlier it was in jungle Adrvan (now known as adrawna village). It is connected by the road and rail both. It is fifty kilometer from the the District Headquarter Maharajganj and 12 Kilometer from the Tahesil Pharend (popularly known as Anand Nagar). It is fifty kilometer from Gorakhpur on Gorakhpur-Gonda rail route. Tuesday is a very important day for the devotees they used to come every day but Tuesday has its own importance.
Every year in the Chaitr Navratr (April) a fifteen day celebration starts from 1st day of Navratr to the day of poornima (poranmasi)is celebrated by the devotees which attracts a lot of devotees (Shardhalu).
