Legae Academy
Legae Academy is an English medium, independent, co-educational, secondary school located in Gaborone, Botswana. The Academy is a sister school to Legae English Medium Primary School which was established in 1983. The Academy follows the Cambridge International Examinations syllabus, allowing students to sit for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) after 4 years of secondary education, and the A-Level examination after a further 2 years.
"Legae" is a Setswana word meaning "home", which is symbolic for the schools’s goal to provide a secure and caring environment that facilitates a culture of learning.

Motto and logo
The Academy’s Setswana motto "Thuto go aga Botho" roughly translates to "Education builds Humanity". The institute has an additional English motto "every child is yours", which goes hand in hand with the Academy’s logo depicting fledglings being reared in their nest.
Board of Governors
The Academy is governed by a Board of Governors consisting of its Managing Director, the Principal (ex-officio), a representative of the Ministry of Education, Gaborone City Council, Parents’ representatives, directors and additional members as provided for under appropriate Education (Private Secondary Schools) Regulations and the guide lines set out in the Education Act.

Admission and progression
Admission - To enter Form 1, students should normally have completed the National Primary School Leaving Exam (PSLE), or equivalent. With the exception of Standard 7 applicants from Legae Primary School, all applicants are required to sit an entrance examination. Students wishing to enter any other Form are assessed on latest past performance and are required to sit an entrance examination.
Progression - Progression through the Academy is based on merit.

Administration
- Principal - Mr. Easo Oommen has over three decades of teaching and ten year of principal leadership experience in Botswana, India and Nigeria. Before becoming principal, he had previously served for twelve years as the Vice-Principal.
- Vice-Principal - Mr. John Hutcheson has over two decades of teaching experience in Botswana and the United Kingdom, which includes seven years as a Head teacher of Community Junior Secondary Schools in Botswana. He has also served as the Director of Education for the Mokolodi Nature Reserve.
- Deputy Vice Principal - Mrs. Julia Farmer has over thirty years of teaching experience in Botswana and the United Kingdom.
