LeAndre Davis

Clarence LeAndre Davis was born on May 25, 1991. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 13th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft out of Campbell High School. He was drafted as the 402nd pick overall. Throughout his high school baseball career, Davis played Shortstop. After the draft, Davis did not sign with the Twins but signed with a junior college called Georgia Perimeter College instead. He currently plays SS and 3B for Georgia Perimeter. Coach Danny Blue, Georgia Perimeter's Head Baseball Coach, said of his middle infield which includes Davis "I wouldn’t trade our defense in the middle of the infield for anybody’s." Davis currently (as of March 1, 2010) has a batting average of .280, 25 at bats, 5 runs, 4 runs batted in, 7 hits, 1 stolen base, 7 hits, 4 walks and an on-base percentage of .440 offensively. Defensively, Davis has 6 putouts, 21 assists, and a fielding percentage of .931.
