Education and surgical career
Dr. Gordon received his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania in biophysics where he graduated magna cum laude in 1985. He received his M.D. degree from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1989. He was trained in Head and Neck Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary under other notable surgeons Dr. John Connely, Dr. Hyun Cho and Dr. Steven D. Schaefer.
He has obtained board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology. In addition, Dr. Gordon has expertise in Thyroid Gland Removal (Thyroidectomy) and Parathyroid Surgery.
