Lardpony
Lardpony are a 4-piece indie-pop band from Derby, UK. They released their first album, This Is Lardcore, on 17th April 2006. It received airplay on BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank's show1. A second album, The Greatest Invention Ever, was released on 16th April 2007, and received further Radio 1 airplay, this time from Huw Stephens 2 3.
The band completed a short tour in 2006 and have supported the likes of The Research, Mates of State, Boyracer, data Panik, Mirah, Milky Wimpshake, Chikinki and Yumi Yumi4.
In 2004, bassist Dave Williams (also of Plans & Apologies) left the band and was replaced by Nathan Wilson. The band are currently on hiatus, due to keyboard player Mandy McKirdy expecting her first child in September 2007.
