Lapiz Conciente
Avelino Yunior Figueroa (born January 24 , 1983), better known as Lápiz Conciente is a Dominican rapper that was raised in Los Mina, Santo Domingo. After his mothers death, Lápiz was raised by his grandmother Palin.
He started rapping at the age of 13, and was part of several groups like "El Proyecto" and "Charles Family". After joining these groups he started to be noticed along with fellow rappers Frandel Rodriguez, Anneudy Rodriguez and DJ El Lobo. Songs that made him popular during this time were, "Calle Es Calle (Feat Jo-A)", "La Guayaba" and "La Redada". He then joined a group by the name of Complot Records, with songs like "Capea El Dough", "Las Vocales", "Las Menores", "Tu No Eres De Na'" and various segments of the song "Atento A Mi".
Lápiz came out as a solo artist when he signed with Top Dollar Entertainment. After he signed with Top Dollar the songs "Atento A Mi 10", "Atento A Mi(Special Edition)" FeatJo-A, "Fariceos", "Yo En Tu Bocina", "Quieren Sonar Con El Lapiz", "Mami" Feat J.N.3, and "I Wanna Love U (Dominican Remix)" Feat Jo-A & J.N.3. have been his biggest hits.
Lápiz has released his first official mixtape titled "Cotorra Asesina" mixed by DJ Precise. On this project he collaborated with artists such as Chevy P. from the group Field Mob, Polaco, N.O.R.E, Chyno Nyno, Voltio & Guelo Star just to name a few. Following the success of his first mixtape he is currently working on his second one titled "El Abusador". This time around he is teaming up with the likes of Jim Jones, Hector "El Father", Calle 13 and a couple of other superstars.
