Kyle Fortson
Kyle Fortson is an American lawyer and government official who serves as a member of the National Mediation Board (NMB). Prior to assuming her current role, she was the labor policy director at the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. Fortson was confirmed to a term on the NMB in November 2017, and her current term is scheduled to expire on July 1, 2019.
Biography
Fortson received her B.A in history from the University of Colorado in 1996 and her J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1999. She began her career by serving as judiciary counsel to U.S. Representative Spencer Bachus from 1999 to 2001. From 2001 to 2003, Fortson was counsel to U.S. Senator Tim Hutchinson. From 2003 to 2004, she was a policy analyst and counsel at the Senate Republican Policy Committee. In 2004, Fortson became labor counsel at the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, a position which she held until 2010, when she became labor policy director of the same committee.
