Kushal N. Desai
Kushal N. Desai is an Indian businessman and industrialist. He is the Chairman and Managing Director of APAR Industries Limited.
Early life
Kushal Desai earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. He also obtained a business degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Career
In 1997, Desai co-founded APAR Infotech, a system integration and software company. APAR Infotech expanded its operations to multiple countries and was listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange in 2004. After the listing, he stepped down from APAR Infotech to focus on APAR Industries. Desai joined APAR Industries in 2004. He later became the Managing Director and CEO of APAR Industries in 2015, and he was appointed Chairman of the company in 2016.
Kushal Desai is involved in several educational and charitable organizations. He serves on the Board of Governors of Dharmsinh Desai University and on the board of DDMM Heart Hospital, both of which are institutions established by his family in Gujarat, India. He is also a trustee of The Lady Northcote Hindu Orphanage and acts as an advisor to the Annamrita Midday Meal Program, a non-profit initiative that provides meals to schoolchildren in India.
