Kumar Annavarapu

Dr. Kumar PVHN Annavarapu M.A(His); M.A(Sociology); M.Phil; B.L; P.G.D.P.R; PhD. (born 2 March 1967) is an Indian journalist and prominent member of the Sai Vidya Foundation. Dr. Kumar authored a total of 149 books, out of which 29 books deal with Human psychology and Human Behavior, Personality and Career Development. Remaining 120 books are based on Spirituality and Personality Development. Most of his researches Contributions are in the area of Public Relations, Personality Development, Youth Education and Career Development, Principally addressing to reestablish the fundamental values within the young ones, such as goal setting, clear vision, determination, persistence, dedication, sincerity, and hard work. These were exemplified throughout his works illustrating the success stories of famous individuals to serve as role models. Some of his works i.e. Jeevana Vikasam and Jeevana Vijayam, provided a series of steps for becoming a good leader, as well to prepare a goal oriented individual while pursuing either professional for vocational path achieving a significant value added career in their lives. The personality development methodologies which he advocated include, identifying the goals, improving self-confidence, definition of success and achievement, enjoying the hard work and even selecting of right peers.

He established a fortnightly magazine, VIDYA for young adults, for which he served as a Chief Editor and Publisher. It covers information regarding career counselling, International Universities and their details for admission, mental health and improvement, competitive examinations and model papers, and personality development.

Early life and education

Dr. Kumar was born on 2 March 1967 to a scholar Annavarapu Poornachandra Rao and Sakuntala garu in Hyderabad. From his early childhood days he has a never ending quench for learning which made him a highly motivated and driven. He started his education as an ITI professional in Mechanical Engineering from Board of Technical Education, Telaprolu, Near Vijayawada from 1982–1984, B.Com (Commerce) from Andhra University, 1984–1986 after that he studied Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Arts from Osmania University, Hyderabad from 1986–1987, he simultaneously finished B.L (Law) from Andhra University, P.G. Diploma in Public Relations (P.G.D.P.R) from Andhra Pradesh Open University, Master of Arts (M.A) in History, Sociology from Osmania University, Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, P.G Diploma in Computer Education (P.G.D.C.A) from Indian Education Center within a span of 4 years 1987–1991. After his masters education he moved on to higher studies to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy in History (PhD) from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, 1993–1995.

Journalism and career

Beginning his career at Andhra Patrika as a Columnist, Public Relations Specialist and reporter, Dr.Annavarapu has written more than 400 Essays analysing Educational topics in Andhra Jyothi Weekly, India (AP's most reputed weekly). He has also written more than 100 articles in Swathi Weekly and has written more than 200 essays in Andhra Jyothi Daily News Paper.

He has started his career as a Reporter in the Media in early 1986 with Andhra Patrika, and then moved on to work as Reporter at the Udayam Telugu Daily Newspaper which was run by an eminent Film Director and Journalist Dr.Dasari Narayana Rao until 1990. From there he worked at major Daily newspapers such as Andhra Jyothy and Eenadu as a senior reporter and columnist until 1995. In 1995 he established his own publication a fortnightly magazine VIDYA with a primary focus to serve subjects such as Education, Career Counselling, Youth Development, Leadership, Health, Current Affairs and various other Analytical Topics.

Spirituality and Personality Development

Apart from being an educationalist and entrepreneur, Dr. Kumar is a strong devotee of Sai Baba of Shirdi. As per his words Sai Baba is the real inspiration and a very strong driving force behind all his achievements. This belief led him to contribute uninterruptedly to the field of education with the help of "VIDYA" magazine. In the year 2007 he has embarked on an tough journey to expand on the existing writings, books and publications on Sai Baba which are available in Telugu Language. He took Sri Sai Gurucharitra written by Das Ganu Maharaj and Sai Satcharitra written by Govindrao Raghunath Dabholkar (Hemadpant) as a base for all the preaching's of Sai Baba and began to expand on top of that.

Dr. Kumar has worked endlessly on writing/editing and publishing 9 unique books on Sai Baba which were later named as Navavidha Grandhamala (Garland of Nine Books) which were published in July 2008. All the 9 books were very unique in the regard that they can be very easily understood by a common man with basic literacy in Telugu language. These were written in a way to interpret Sai Tatvam and simultaneously integrating Sai Tatwam with Personality Development of a human beings. This literary work and its huge success and incredible adoration and response received among Telugu speaking people in India, Canada and United States who has read those books, inspired him to contribute even more to spread Sai Tatwam through his literary works.

At that point he has decided to write another 108 books on Sai Baba and dedicate them to Shirdi Sai Baba Samsthan. He started to work on these books in 2009 and finished them by 2013 at an incredible pace which is a miraculous effort never achieved in the History of Telugu Literature.

Sai Bodha Magazine

In the year 2013, shortly after finishing the literary work for 108 books Dr, Kumar has started to publish a very outstanding spiritual fortnightly magazine Sai Bodha. The main inspiration in doing this magazine is to reach out to all the Telugu speaking Sai Devotees in Andhra Pradesh. Tremendous response is generated for this magazine.
