Koonago
is a branch of anime and manga, especially hentai, that has sprung up based around the concept of shrinking mature age women to sizes anywhere between two feet high and near-microscopic size. It is a sub-category of Microphilia. Use of the term in the United States comes primarily from the artist Toyogub, whose website has the following quote On It's front page:
"Konnichiwa! My name is Toyogub. (^ ^) I like tiny woman. Meaning of tiny woman isn't children, doll and fairy. I like normal size woman shrinks to doll size suddenly. Tiny woman is called "KOONAGO" in JAPAN. (^-^; I hope you enjoy!"
Overview
Literally meaning small lady, this interest is divided up into the categories of:
- Child size (two to three feet)
- Pet Size (About one foot)
- Toy Size (Average about half a foot)
- Pocket Size (Small enough to fit in your hand)
- Bite Size (About half an inch)
- Micro sized (< 1 cm)
The darker forms of Koonago artwork will depict such women being cut up or eaten provided they are toy size or smaller. One thing all Koonago artwork makes sure to depict is that clothing doesn't shrink with the woman in question.
