Konde Deshmukh

Konde Deshmukh is one of the Royal Maratha 96K surnames. Deshmukh is honourary title in the Maratha Community.Royal 96k Clans used to marry with these Deshmukhs within 96k and apart it.

Konde deshmukhs are from a village of Khed Shivapur and from various other parts of pune district. Some of Konde families of here moved to Dhamankhel village in junnar taluka of pune district around 1800. The historically known name from this family is Antaji Konde-Deshmukh. Antaji Konde-Deshmukh was associated with shivaji maharaj in his initial period when shivaji came to pune from Shivneri and got settled in lal mahal. It was 1636 when, the family met Jijabai and offered their own Wada to stay to the Bhonsales. He was working with Bapuji Mudgal Deshpande of khed.
