Sinar College is located at 55 A,B & 57 A,B, Jalan Melaka Raya 21, Taman Melaka Raya, 75000, Melaka. It is the only independent private higher education institution in Melaka besides Stamford College. It occupies the whole corner lot of a large 3 storeys of shoppping complex near famous historical site A.Famosa and state landmark Taming Sari Tower at Melaka Raya.

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA) is the largest professional accounting body in the UK with members in over 170 countries worldwide. Membership of the Association can only be achieved by examination and relevant practical experience. Sinar College is also examination centre for Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA)in the state of Melaka.

In 2010, the institution had been awarded Gold Status as a learning partner by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA).

Malaysian Skills Certificate

Sinar College was registered as one of the accredited training center under Skill Development Department (Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran), an agency under Ministry of Human Resource (Malaysia) on 26 October 2010. This accreditation allows the college to conduct training courses which award trainees with Malaysian Skill Certificate (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia).

Malaysian Qualification Agency

Sinar College also conforms with requirement under Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) for its professional courses such as Foundation in Accountancy and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants as well as for Diploma courses such as Diploma in Accounting and collaboration Diploma with University of Malaya.

Diploma in Accounting

Kolej Sinar offers own Diploma in Accounting programme which is accredited by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The full time course is divided into 4 long semesters and 2 short semesters which covers approximately 2 years of study.

Accommodation

Initially, Sinar College only offers courses to nearby residents. As it grows bigger and add more courses into its faculties, students register from whole state of Melaka and some from neighboring states like Johor and Negeri Sembilan. However, nearly all of its students come from various places in Melaka such as Melaka Raya, Bandar Hilir, Bandar Melaka, Tengkera, Ayer Keroh, Durian Tunggal, Alor Gajah district, Jasin district, Batu Berendam, and other areas.

Sinar College is situated at Melaka Raya, a busy place accessible by public transportation. However, most students come by own vehicles. For full time students studying Foundation of Accountancy (FIA) course, they usually come and are fetched home by parents, although some come by buses or own cars. For part time students who come to classes at night and weekends, namely ACCA Professional Stage students and University of Malaya's Centre for Continuing Education (UMCCed), they are working adults who own vehicles.

Sinar College besides the college building, also own some properties within area such as apartments. Some students stay in the apartments and come to college on foot.

Job opportunities

Sinar College boasts direct relationship with prominent audit, accounting, secretarial, and taxation firm which have been deep rooted for decades within local communities. Sinar College students are always placed for practical internship with the firm, while the firm's clients obtain source of employees from Sinar College. In other words, Sinar College has been designed for practical purposes from the beginning besides providing alternative access for part-time education to local communities.

Sinar College, despite its complete facilities, has no full time lecturers. All the courses are taught by part-time lecturers who at the same time are ACTIVE practitioners in their respective fields, either in own companies or holding positions in influential local industries. Furthermore, Sinar College is also patronized by local Members of Parliament from ruling political party. In other words, Sinar College graduates, with the advantage of marketable ACCA and CAT qualifications, boast far and wide network of job opportunities.

Melaka, the state where Sinar College is operating in, is well-known among Malaysian as small state with largest tourists activities. It even bought and locate its premises in the middle of busiest commercial center and famous tourism sites. Besides being fully accredited as tourism training center and offering all course one can get on tourism, Sinar College has been active in running local and national tourism organisation. Like other courses it offers, Tourist Guide Basic Course Level 3 and Travel & Tour Enhancement Course (TTEC) are also taught by part time lecturers who are not only active tourism practitioners, but also have engaged in local tourism industry for a very long time. For those students who enroll in the Tourist Guide Basic Course Level 3 and Travel & Tour Enhancement Course (TTEC) with Sinar College, usually have the opportunity to join into the large network as well.
