Kobayat International Festivals
Kobayat International Festivals is an international music festival located in a natural outdoor space in the city of Kobayat, Lebanon.
It has become the cultural festival of reference in the Akkar region with a daily programme that includes music, art, sightseeing and gastronomy opening its doors every day during the Assumption of Mary weekend . Its auditorium seats up to 3.500 people to offer intimate and close concerts where the audience lives a unique experience with the music stars. During the day, it dedicates events that take advantage of the outdoors activities in Akkar.
Since its inception, the festival has positioned itself as one of the most significant social events of this country.
History
In 2014, the festival was founded by Cynthia Karkafi, president of the Ajyal for Development foundation and wife of MP Hadi Hobeiche to promote the heritage of Akkar area. It held its first EDition on 14 July and 15 August 2015 to massive success.
Awards and recognition
The festivals were the winners of the "Social and Rural Impact" award by the Lebanese Social Economic Awards in an event that was held on 28 November 2015. It was a testament of the festivals' impact on the local economy and its success in shedding the light on Akkar.

2016 edition
The second edition returned to Kobayat on 5 August 2016 packed with new activities. Besides the variety of concerts, It added a daily schedule of art exhibitions and outdoor activities.

- 5 August 2016: Mountain Bike Day and in the evening Najwa Karam Concert
- 6 August 2016: Wael Kfoury Concert
- 6 August 2016: Hiking Day
- 11 August 2016: Hiking Day
- 12 August 2016: Boney M. Concert
