History
The Knights were established on July 25, 1998, the Feast of St. James the Greater, in Hanceville, Alabama, where they initially served at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Their founding was part of Mother Angelica’s broader efforts to promote Eucharistic reverence and traditional Catholic spirituality.
In 2016, the Knights moved to the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska, at the invitation of Bishop James D. Conley. They took residence at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House near Waverly.
